it depend upon a question 

like

x+y+3x-2y

solution

first we arrange

x+3x+y-2y

4x-y ans.

variable x have both sign + so 4x and variable y have one sign is + and 2nd is - , there for after match it makes minus and bigger number sign we keep with ans
