hi im teacher mench.

i have another answer to the problem.

before the tank was used,it is 4/5 full. then after using 12 liter,it is 11/20 full.

here,

let x be the liters of the gasoline when it is full tank.

          (4/5)x - 12 = 11/20 x   , tranpose 12 to the other side

 that gives,    (4/5)x = 11/20x +12 ,    12 changes the sign.

                     (4/5)x - 11/20x=12

                  5/20 x= 12 multiply both sides by 20

                         5x=240 divide both sides by 5

                            x=48 liters

Hello I'm Teacher Reynan...

Your problem about fraction solve this way

First you have to analyze your problem, before the beginning of the trip 4/5 L of gasoline is in the tank

then after using 12 L of gasoline it  became 11/20 L.

Now subtract 4/5 - 11/20   , get the LCD or least common denominator, which is 20..then we have

16 - 11 / 20         , subtract 16 by 11, then

5/20  or  1/4       , since this is equal to 12 L, so we have

1/4 = 12 L         , cross multiply then we will come up with our final answer and that is

48 L            , this is the liters of gasoline tank when full

It is about fraction:-

Solution :-

Start of the trip 4/5 L of gasoline is in the tank

After using 12 L of gasoline it remain 11/20 L.

                    start - remaining = used

Now subtract  4/5  - 11/20   = 12   , first we same their denominator by taking LCM we get 20

16 - 11 / 20 = 12         , subtract 16 by 11, we get

5/20  or  1/4 = 12      , since this is equal to 12 L, so we have

1/4 = 12 L         , Transpose 4 to other side

= 12 x 4          that we get

48 L  when gasoline tank full.

                     (4/5)x = (11+ 240)/20

                      (4/5)x = 251/20 multiply both sides by 5

                         4x=1255/20 divide both sides by 4

                            x=62.5/4

                             x= 15.625 liters
