Maths: On a certain day a total of (x+y) people stopped at a restaurant. The table below shows that each visitors had either a cup of tea or coffee and all of them had one scone each.

a)  write down in terms of x and 1 or y the total amount paid for.  i) coffee    ii)  tea   iii)  scones

 

b)  if the own of the restaurant received 45,000 from coffee and tea.  write down an equation in terms of x and y in its simplest form.

 

ii)  if the own received 27,900 on scones.  write down an equation in terms of x and y in its simplest form.

c)  Use your equation in b) to find out the number of people who drank tea.

d) Given that $1 +3000, find how much much the owner of the restaurant received in dollars ($).
