Given equation is,4x^2-13x+9=0

we can rewrite the given equation ,4x^2-9x-4x+9=0

we can factorize it now, 4x(x-1)-9(x-1)=0

(4x-9)(x-1)=0

4x-9=0,x-1=0

x=9/4,x=1

4x2-13x+9

= 4x2-4x-9x+9         (a=4, b=-13, c=9 so axb=4x9=36 therefore factors of 36 such that sum =-13 are -4 and -9, so split the middle term and follow)

= 4x(x-1)-9(x-1)

= (x-1)(4x-9)

x-1=0 or 4x-9=0

x=1 or 4x=9

x=1 or x=9/4

SOL---   Given equation is,4x^2-13x+9=0   { here the product is 9*4 =36 and sum is -13 , therefore factors are -9 and -4 because (-9) *( -4) = 36 ,  ( -9) +(-4) =(-13  ) }
4x2-13x+9 =0
4x2-4x-9x+9 =0

4x(x-1)-9(x-1) =0

(x-1)(4x-9) =0

x-1=0 or 4x-9=0

x=1 or 4x=9

x=1 or x=9/4
