4x(-2y) = -4xy ..multiplying integers with different signs is always equal to negative.

if x is used for multiply

4x (-2y)

multiply 4x with -2y we get

- 8xy ans

OR

if you use x both for ex then

4 x x (-2y)

4x²(-2y)

8x²y Ans
