A discount of 15 percent from a marked price produces a net price which is what percent of the marked price.

Let the marked price = x

Net price = x-15 % of x

              = x-0.15x

              = 0.85x

Now we have to find net price is what percent of marked price i.e.

Net price/ Marked price * 100=0.85x/x * 100 = 85 %
